Privacy Policy
LAST UPDATED · July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tabs Intelligence (“Tabs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with tabskept.com, our intelligence briefs, and related services (the “Service”). It applies to visitors to our website and to free and paid subscribers. Tabs is a business product operated from the United States and intended for U.S. business users.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Contact and account details — your business email address and, where you provide them, your name, company, and role.
- Preferences and configuration — your subscription tier, the brands or competitors you choose to follow, and communications you send us.
- Billing information — if you purchase a paid tier, payment is processed by our third-party payment provider; we receive limited billing details (such as plan, status, and the email associated with payment) but not full card numbers.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and product events, collected through our analytics.
- Email engagement — whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, measured with first-party tracking so we can gauge relevance and deliverability.
2. Sources of Data
- Directly from you — when you sign up, configure your account, or contact us.
- Automatically — through cookies, tracking pixels, tracked links, and server logs as you use the Service.
- From public sources — publicly available marketing and commercial information published by brands and across public online channels. We use this to produce our Briefs; we do not access private, confidential, or non-public systems or data.
3. How We Use Information
- to operate the Service, create your account, and deliver the Briefs and alerts you subscribe to;
- to send service messages and, where permitted, marketing emails about Tabs;
- to measure and improve email performance and product experience through first-party open/click measurement and analytics;
- to personalize the Briefs based on the brands and preferences you configure;
- for support, security, fraud prevention, enforcing our Terms, and complying with law.
We do not use your personal information to build advertising profiles or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Email & CAN-SPAM
Our commercial emails comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. In every marketing email we:
- use accurate sender, recipient, and subject-line information, with no deceptive headers;
- identify the message as a Tabs communication and include our valid physical postal address;
- provide a clear, working one-click unsubscribe link; and
- honor unsubscribe requests promptly, and in any event within 10 business days.
After you unsubscribe from marketing emails you may still receive necessary transactional or account messages.
5. Cookies, Pixels & Tracking
We use a small set of technologies to run and measure the Service:
- Essential cookies for site functionality, preferences, and authentication;
- Analytics (we use PostHog) to understand usage, measure features, and improve the product;
- Email tracking — pixels and tracked links that record opens and clicks as our own first-party analytics to improve relevance and deliverability.
You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. We do not use these technologies to sell your information or to serve cross-site advertising.
6. How We Share Information
We share personal information only with:
- Service providers that operate the Service on our behalf — email delivery, analytics, payment processing, and hosting — bound to use the data only to provide their services to us;
- Professional advisors and authorities where required to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights and safety;
- A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business and legal purposes. We retain unsubscribe and privacy-request records as needed to honor your choices. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information, subject to legal exceptions:
- Know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
- Delete — request that we delete personal information we collected from you;
- Correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of sale/sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of; and
- Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent where permitted.
10. Third-Party Brand Content
To produce the Briefs, we collect and analyze publicly available marketing and commercial information that brands make public. This information is used to generate aggregated market and competitive insights. Any personal information appearing in such content (for example, a name in a public post) is incidental and is handled in accordance with this Policy. Tabs is not affiliated with or endorsed by the brands it references.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice (such as an email or a notice on the website).
